Hello, I am your narrator today, I am here to tell you a story. This is the story of a young man named Simon. Simon is a boy who doesn’t have a very interesting life. That changed one day when he met a prince with a very hard-to- pronounce name. The prince asked for help because his kingdom, the Kingdom of Verysmall, needed help to defeat a great monster.

Simon was then shrunk down to insect-size, where he could see and fight the monster. He then journeyed over huge (By huge I mean normal-sized), objects, until he found the monster’s lair. The monster was ugly, horrifying, and evil. It was a rat. Simon and the rat then engaged in battle.

The battle lasted about five seconds, Simon won. He was then hailed as a hero to the kingdom of Verysmall, and became famous to its people. But an important detail came up that bugged Simon, so he asked the prince. “How exactly do I get back to normal size?” Apperently the prince had no idea, so Simon had to take ANOTHER journey to find out how to return to normal size. But THAT is a whole different story.

Recently I have read that most adults don’t read books regularly. It seems that the smae goes for children and teens as well. It seems that television and internet have replaced books. While it does seem strange to be preaching this on a blog, it is a concern, especially for those who write and publish books.

The article that I read telling me about this was made to alert people of this. To tell them to go and pick up a book. I myself am an avid reader, I read every day. I just don’t understand why some just can’t pick up a book sometime.

The article actually taught me a few things such as how most adults do not read a book cover to cover in a year. It also told me that this has happened before, when writing was first invented. It be gan to revolutionize how people back then lived life. It is the same as now, how internet changed our lives. It is also true that some schools use labtops instead of writing assignments.

This could be a disaster for written literature. It may mean the end of written works will be replaced by computers. Only time will tell, but it is definitly affecting life. Most do work on a computer than on a piece of paper.

If it were uip to me, I would tell everyone to read and finish at least one good book every month. It could help give people better outlooks on books and the lessons they teach. It would be a lerning experience for everyone. On a final note, try picking up a good  book if you read this, instead of looking it up on SparkNotes, or Googling it.

When I think of college,I think of what I may possibly major in. Currently, I am not sure, mostly because I don’t know exactly how good I am  academically. I do have a pretty good Idea of what kind of classes I would want take in college. It is still too soon to say because I still don’t know what college I will go to.

One of the subjects I could take is history. I always get A’s in history, It’s very easy as well as interesting. Sometimes I got bored and memorized everything in a chapter, and then read ahead of the class. It would be a good idea for me to take history as a major.

Another Thing I could do is film and animation. I have always wanted to do something creative in life. I have a vast imagination, but I’m no good as an artist. I have always wanted to tell a unique story and taking film and animation as a major could help.

The last of them all is Religion. I am interested in this because it includes a great deal of history. I also know the basic parts of religion. It would be nice to learn about other religions as well.

While I don’t know what I will major and minor in, I can only hope it is something I am good at and will be succesful in. I know that many college students take pride in what they take as a major, so I will do the same. When I make it to college, I will find something that I am good at as a major. That is all, thanks for listening.

Being popular is something many young people want to be socially, but is it right? No, just being popular doesn’t make you a better person. Sometimes it does the opposite, it makes you concieted, and a bully to others. I myself have never been popular and I am content with who I am. So if any one out there thinks that popularty is everything and it makes you a better person, you are wrong. Thanks for listening.

I came to St. Mary’s because I thought it would be a good experience for me to go to a catholic school like my dad and his siblings did. I had spent my first two years in middle school at a public school, and I had a horrible time, largely because of bullies and the principle’s not dealing with them. I left behind some good friends, but I still see some of them. Back to the point I was making, I spent 8th grade in a Catholic middle school called St. Joseph’s. So it was obvious that I should go to a catholic high school. What I found was friends and a worthwhile education. The teachers are friendly and the students are as well. I found things I never could have in public school, and I am currently enjoying my new year at high school. I am glad I chose St. Mary’s High School , thank you anyone who has read this.
